Buying used and consigned furniture Please be aware that used inventory inherently shows signs of use. While we do our best to disclose known defects, please carefully inspect items prior to purchasing. All items are sold on an “as is, where is” basis, with the exception of appliances and electronics, which have a 7-day money-back guarantee.
What forms of payments do you accept? At our shop, we accept cash, check, Paypal, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. On our website, checkout with Paypal or to purchase with credit card over the phone. Please specify your target pickup day when you place your online order and let us know if you need to make any special arrangements regarding pickup.
Online Specials Because price reductions are taken at the register, please reference the promo code or sale price of your purchase to the cashier to ensure you are rung up correctly. Also let us know where you saw the ad, such as on our website or craigslist.
Pick up and Delivery Pick up and delivery services are available for a small fee, for example, $35 for a dining set or couch in Redding. But please let us know if there will be “problems,” e.g., stairs, narrow hallways, dirt roads, whether there will be help available for unloading, and number and type of items, in order for us to provide you with an accurate quote.
Shipping We do work with buyers for shipping. The minimum handling charge is $10 for small packages that we can handle in our shop, $20 if you want us to take it to a local shipping company. For large items, we do offer “crating” services, but keep in mind that we do not offer “insurance” for these service. Please discuss this with the shipping company of your choice. Our customers have successfully used Mail Place, 530-244-3300, and Greyhound Packaging Express. For Mail Place, we can drop off an order without packaging it for a $10 handling fee. Then Mail Place will give you a quote for packaging and shipping fees and collect payment from you directly. If their quote is unacceptable to you, we can pick the item back up from them and refund your purchase less the $10 handling fee. There is a $20 handling fee for us to drop off items to Greyhound, which also requires prior packaging by us (will require separate quote).
